Man who sparked probe of Ontario lottery agency dies

Sad. But kudos to a man who stood up for his rights against official obfuscation. The eventual outcome was not a certainty when he started this process. And anyone who has ever had to complain about anything knows that it is always an uphill struggle.

Complaining is not the way to make people like you, so far too many people don’t do it. The result is at least bad service – but far too often criminality and fraud going unpunished.

In this case it was not just that one lottery retailer’s employee was dishonest, but the Ontario Corporation knew that there was a systematic problem and decided to “hold their noses”. Good that this gentleman and the CBC did not give up.
