Co-op radio

I have just finished a short broadcast with Phil le Good and Jim Houlahan. The station is currently running its fall membership drive. Right now I am enjoying listening to Betty Krawzik.

The three of us did our schtick on the Gateway – and of course we each only got a few minutes each for a large subject. I was described as a “traffic expert” – which I found a bit limiting, but Phil and Jim filled in nicely on the development and economic issues. This was also to act as trailer for “wake with Co-op” the morning talk show.

Betty is now talking about how the media ownership in this region is concentrated in a few hands. And co-op radio does fill the gap.

As well as providing an option to the Opera on CBC! Oddly enough one of the membership premiums being offered is two tickets to “La Boheme

We need the media to fight back!
