The editor and founder of Monocle magazine, Tyler Brûlé, is Canadian. I don’t know much about him, but I have read some reviews of issues of the magazine. Apparently, Tyler does not really like Canada all that much. So I’m not really surprised that no Canadian cities are included in the slide-show.
This is not to say that I believe that any Canadian city actually deserves to be included in a list of the world’s most liveable cities. I think that all North American cities are much too automobile-centric to even qualify for consideration.
