Arbutus at 37th
The tracks have been removed at the crossing of 37th Avenue, with an extension of the gravel path to the corner of West Boulevard. The level crossing signal equipment remains in place.
Postscript: September 3
The crossing is being removed at King Edward Avenue this morning.
The City of Vancouver is holding Public Feedback workshops. You have to register – click that link!
They were removing the crossing at 33rd yesterday.

And South West Marine Drive has also been dealt with as part of the major works along there this summer. Even some lengths of protected bike lanes. Nice to have Angus and the Boulevard back as an alternative to Granville.
There is no sign yet of gravel being added to the greenway on the southern end.

A lot has happened since this video was made. Most of my posts with pictures of the area between 16th and 41st are more recent. The video starts in downtown and spends a long time crossing the Burrard Bridge. King Edward Avenue is misidentified as “25th” – a very common mistake among Vancouver residents I have noticed. Far too often the camera is carried with video going while the operator is running, resulting in very poor image quality.
